Installation
Perma-Columns set in augered holes the same way wood posts do. No concrete truck is needed and there is no cure time before framing. Use the same footing your plans call for under a wood column.
In stalls and wash bays, place a barrier between the treated wood and the steel bracket and use stainless steel fasteners.

Common Questions
How deep do the columns go? Each column has about five feet of concrete. Column extenders add depth where frost or soil conditions require it.
Will this work with my builder or barn kit? Yes. Perma-Column installs with standard post-frame methods. Give your builder the model that matches your post size.
Can it handle wind uplift on a run-in shed or open aisle? Uplift anchors bolt to the base of the column for added holding strength.
Can I use it to fix rotted posts in my current barn? Yes. Rotted posts can be cut off and set on new precast columns.
Do I need a different footing? No. Use the same type and size of footing you would use under a wood post.
How heavy are the columns? 165 to 345 pounds each, depending on the model.
