Pole Barn Brackets for Monolithic Slabs
Pole barn brackets for monolithic slabs cast into the concrete during the pour and give each wood column a permanent anchor. Sturdi-Wall® Plus wet-set brackets set in the thickened edge of the slab while it is wet, so there is no drilling and no wood in the ground.

Pole Barn Brackets for Monolithic Slabs

Post-frame brackets for existing concrete slabs let you build on the concrete you already have. Sturdi-Wall® drill-set brackets anchor wood columns to the top of a cured slab, so there is no digging and no wood in the ground.

Why use wet-set brackets on a monolithic slab
A monolithic slab pours the floor and footing at once. Wet-set brackets go in during that same pour, so the foundation and column anchors are finished in one day. Structural rebar on each bracket ties it into the concrete for a one-piece connection.
How they install
- Form the slab and lay out the column locations.
- Pour the concrete.
- Set each bracket into the wet concrete at its mark and check it for position and plumb.
- Let the concrete cure, then stand the wood columns in the brackets and fasten them.
No concrete anchors are needed.

Common Questions
How thick does the slab edge need to be? That depends on your loads. Our design guide with calculations gives your engineer the numbers. It is free to download.
What if a bracket ends up in the wrong spot? Wet-set brackets cannot be moved after the concrete cures, so check the layout during the pour. A drill-set Sturdi-Wall® bracket can be added to cured concrete if needed.
My slab is already poured. What do I use? Drill-set Sturdi-Wall® brackets anchor to cured concrete with a hammer drill and concrete fasteners.
Does it work in high wind areas? The brackets carry High-Velocity Hurricane Zone code compliance.
What about damp buildings? Place a barrier between the treated wood and the steel bracket and use stainless steel fasteners.
