Your wall |

|---|---|---|
|
Not poured yet |
Sturdi-Wall® Plus (wet-set) |
Rebar casts into the wet concrete |
|
Already poured and cured |
Sturdi-Wall® (drill-set) |
Concrete fasteners in drilled holes |
Sturdi-Wall Plus needs less concrete coverage than the drill-set bracket. That makes it the better fit for narrow stem walls and pier foundations.
How they install
Wet-set: Pour the wall, set each bracket into the wet concrete at its mark, and check it for position and plumb. Stand the columns after the concrete cures. Drill-set: Mark the column locations on the cured wall. Drill with a hammer drill and masonry bit, set the bracket, and install the concrete fasteners.

Common Questions
How wide does the wall need to be? That depends on the bracket and your loads. Our design guide with calculations gives your engineer the numbers. It is free to download.
Which bracket is strongest? Wet-set Sturdi-Wall Plus offers the highest shear, uplift, and moment capacities.
What if my columns are an odd size? SW60 and SW80 universal drill-set brackets pair together to fit any column size.
Can I use them on piers instead of a full wall? Yes. Sturdi-Wall Plus is well suited to pier foundations.
Does it work in high wind areas? The brackets carry High-Velocity Hurricane Zone code compliance.
What about damp buildings? Place a barrier between the treated wood and the steel bracket and use stainless steel fasteners.
